InterTest® Inc. Announces the HD USB 3.0 Interface Board and iShot® XBlock® Indoor HD USB 3.0 POV Camera with Integrated Sony FCB-MA130 Camera – Featuring the OneView Driver, Now Available for LINUX

Columbia, NJ – InterTest® Inc., an engineering and manufacturing company specializing in remote visual solutions is currently offering an HD USB 3.0 interface board kit for use with Sony’s FCB-MA130, FCB-MA132 and FCB-MA133 camera modules. The compact HD USB 3.0 interface board, which measures 34mm x 25mm, comes with OneView, a free unlimited access viewer. OneView is designed to fully support all the available features of the FCB-MA130 series including auto focus, image stabilization, face detection, exposure modes, EV correction, white balance, color correction, vertical/horizontal flip, and ATR dynamic range controls.

The OneView, UVC viewer application is also available for LINUX.  OneView has been transferred to LINUX allowing the end user to adjust video streaming parameters and mage controls. Functions unique to the FCB-MA130 camera series are also provided via extension controls and direct read and write access to the camera registers.  Developed and supported for Ubuntu, OneView for LINUX uses the V4L2 (Video for Linux 2) driver.  A LINUX solution is important for certain OEM customers, allowing them to produce a solution without buying an operating system.

USB 3.0 Interface

The iShot® XBlock® USB 3.0 interface board has been specifically designed to work with Sony’s FCB-MA130 camera. Enabling all features on this exceptional camera to be utilized over USB 3.0.

The small size of the FCB-MA130 is a major advantage in many applications and the USB 3.0 interface has been designed to complement, allowing a very small total solution. It also takes its power from the USB host computer allowing single cable operation.

The iShot® XBlock® USB 3.0 interface board connects to the FCB-MA130 via an FCC cable. It connects to the CMOS parallel interface and the I2C control lines. The FPGA on board convert’s commands received via USB, to the appropriate I2C protocol commands on the camera.

A DMA channel on the FPGA is used to read the data and send it to the USB3.0 channel.

The hardware also adds the appropriate UVC header allowing easy interfacing on the host PC. Standard UVC controls are implemented and other functions can be handled via extended commands that implement register access.

All resolutions and frame rates supported by the camera including still images can be streamed via USB3.0. Including 1080p @ 30fps.

The TL 6031 board provides a small size, easy to use HDTV USB 3.0 compliant video streaming capture solution. Video data is uncompressed, 4:2:2 YUV format. The module receives digital video signals at the input and sends UVC (USB Video Class) compliant data. Our modules behaves always as Super Speed USB 3.0 interface device. Host or OTG operation modes are currently not supported. the host computer must run a UVC capable operationg systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows 8). Our module supports camera control and is providing a vitual com port.

Inspect the Interior Part Surfaces with Simultaneous and Independent White and UV Illumination with the New UV Camera, iShot® SeeUV® PoleCam 1000

InterTest, Inc. engineers designed the PoleCam 1000 for inspection of a variety of parts and components for the aerospace, power generation and manufacturing industries.

The SeeUV® PoleCam 1000 uses a high grade CCD image sensor combined with 5 interchangeable optical adapters for an all-angle, remote visual inspection. The ¼” image sensor, in either NTSC or PAL format, delivers high quality video at 460-470 lines of resolution. The PoleCam 1000 uses patented interchangeable optical adapters in 0, 45, 60, 90 degrees (both wide and narrow field of views) to provide the user with a variety of angled views. Inspect the Interior Surfaces of Cylindrical Aircraft Engine Couplers Components with the New iShot® SeeUV® VIBES (CIS) Coupling Inspection System

With its high-grade optics, simultaneous white light and UV light capability, the Coupler Inspection System provides crisp video images of part internals during Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Visual Inspections (MP and FPI).  Including precise 3 axis motion control, the all-inclusive CIS makes the inspection process quick, easy, and repeatable. The system is ideal for aircraft engine couplers and other medium size parts requiring routine visual inspection and maintenance.

A high resolution ¼ inch CCD image sensor in combination with 3 interchangeable optical adapters deliver brilliant 470 HTV line color images of part internals on an included 15 inch LED monitor mounted on a swing arm. The CISuses patented interchangeable optical adapters with 45, 60 and 90-degree directions of view to provide the user with a variety of angled views.

Optional 0 and high-magnification 90-degree optical adapters are also available.  Combined with a remote focus feature, the CIS achieves complete coverage of all internal aircraft engine coupler surfaces.

In conjunction with the quality image, the Coupler Inspection System has a unique white and UV illumination capability that permits easy interpretation of indications found during the examination of aircraft component internals.  Independently controlled white and UV illumination allow simultaneous fluorescent and conventional color views, a unique feature that aids in image evaluation.  In Addition, the white and UV illumination is uniform across the field of view with superior spectral content for Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. All fluids used for these test methods drain effortlessly below the coupler mount into a catch pan with drain plug for simple clean up.

Proper illumination and image quality can be repeated effortlessly with the CIS 3 axis control and encoded positioning. The CIS can adjust horizontal positioning and vertical positioning (insertion) of the camera boom as well as motorized part rotational position. The vertical and horizontal axis provide encoded position readouts to insure 100% coverage.  Motorized options are available for horizontal and vertical positioning. Three part mounts are included with the system for specific aircraft engine couplers.

QN43H – Inspect Submersed Environments with the iShot® 7mm Micro Camera

Using a ¼ inch CCD sensor and a selection of interchangeable fixed focus lenses, the QN43H 7mm Micro Camera takes image quality beyond that of a standard video borescope with 470 lines of image resolution for a crisp image on a large monitor.Along with offering a high quality image, the QN43H 7mm Micro Camera is versatile: the camera head can be integrated into a variety of body modifications, have various cable lengths (3.5 and 15 meters standard), can be paired with white or UV illumination and can be housed for waterproofing or high temperature applications. The waterproof modification option for the QN43H 7mm Micro Camera is suited for, but not limited to, Power Generation, Mining, and Manufacturing industries with the addition of any other industry where a submersible camera is needed.
