InterTest, Inc. of Columbia, NJ is proud to announce its newest addition to the SeeUV® Inspection System Series of UV Cameras: The white and ultra violet light SeeUV® PoleCam 1000. With high grade optics and simultaneous white and UV light for Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (MP and FPI), the versatile 1.00” diameter UV camera on a pole makes inspection of hard-to-reach internal surfaces quick and easy. InterTest, Inc. engineers designed the PoleCam 1000 for inspection of a variety of parts and components for the aerospace, power generation and manufacturing industries.
The SeeUV® PoleCam 1000 uses a high grade CCD image sensor combined with 5 interchangeable optical adapters for an all-angle, remote visual inspection. The ¼” image sensor, in either NTSC or PAL format, delivers high quality video at 460-470 lines of resolution. The PoleCam 1000 uses patented interchangeable optical adapters in 0, 45, 60, 90 degrees (both wide and narrow field of views) to provide the user with a variety of angled views. Combined with a remote focus feature, the PoleCam 1000 UV camera achieves close-to-complete coverage of all surface detail.
In conjunction with the quality image, the SeeUV® PoleCam 1000 has unique white and UV light illumination capability. To be thorough with examination of component internals, InterTest, Inc. designed the PoleCam 1000 with independent white and UV illumination. The light spectrum for white and UV is uniform across the field of view for superior spectral content for Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.

With its high-grade optics, simultaneous white light and UV light capability, the Coupler Inspection System provides crisp video images of part internals during Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Visual Inspections (MP and FPI). Including precise 3 axis motion control, the all-inclusive CIS makes the inspection process quick, easy, and repeatable. The system is ideal for aircraft engine couplers and other medium size parts requiring routine visual inspection and maintenance.

A high resolution ¼ inch CCD image sensor in combination with 3 interchangeable optical adapters deliver brilliant 470 HTV line color images of part internals on an included 15 inch LED monitor mounted on a swing arm. The CISuses patented interchangeable optical adapters with 45, 60 and 90-degree directions of view to provide the user with a variety of angled views.

Optional 0 and high-magnification 90-degree optical adapters are also available. Combined with a remote focus feature, the CIS achieves complete coverage of all internal aircraft engine coupler surfaces.

In conjunction with the quality image, the Coupler Inspection System has a unique white and UV illumination capability that permits easy interpretation of indications found during the examination of aircraft component internals. Independently controlled white and UV illumination allow simultaneous fluorescent and conventional color views, a unique feature that aids in image evaluation. In Addition, the white and UV illumination is uniform across the field of view with superior spectral content for Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. All fluids used for these test methods drain effortlessly below the coupler mount into a catch pan with drain plug for simple clean up.
Proper illumination and image quality can be repeated effortlessly with the CIS 3 axis control and encoded positioning. The CIS can adjust horizontal positioning and vertical positioning (insertion) of the camera boom as well as motorized part rotational position. The vertical and horizontal axis provide encoded position readouts to insure 100% coverage. Motorized options are available for horizontal and vertical positioning. Three part mounts are included with the system for specific aircraft engine couplers.

Remote Visual Inspection Core Technologies
Core Technologies Within the discipline of RVI, InterTest specializes in video and optical inspection under white, ultraviolet and infrared light. RVI tools allow users to see flaws in hidden and hazardous places off limits to the naked eye. InterTest manufactures an extensive line of Remote Visual Inspection equipment, from borescopes and light sources to robotic camera integrations and custom engineered designs – built to answer customer specific applications. InterTest’s trained technicians also perform application consulting and field service. Within the discipline of NDT, InterTest specializes in ultrasonic, eddy current, fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. Ultrasonic technology is used to find internal flaws in metal and composites, and also to measure thickness. Eddy current testing identifies surface flaws on conductive ferrous and non-ferrous parts, and can be used to sort alloys and heat treat condition. Penetrate and magnetic particle inspection techniques identify surface flaws with fluorescing particles that are drawn, by capillary action or magnetization, to flaws. InterTest sells solutions based on all the above technologies, but also performs the system integration and automation required to make them viable and effective in specialized applications.
